About WA Railways Institute (WARI)

The WA Railways Institute (WARI) is one of the premium staff recreation organisations in Western Australia and has a long and traditional history of providing lifestyle services to staff members within the railway industry since 1897.

Since becoming incorporated in 1999 the Institute has opened its doors to a much wider range of people within the transport industry. It also allows people from the general public to join under slightly different membership criteria. As you are interested in membership it is important to contact our Membership Officer on 9326 2462 or call in to our office in the Public Transport Centre to confirm your membership category.

You will note the wide range of services we offer at greatly reduced prices and we are proud of our portfolio of top class holiday homes available for rental throughout the year. These homes are located in most of the top coastal tourist locations in Western Australia and contain everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable at very cheap rates.

Because of our unique position in the recreation market we are able to offer our services at rates unequalled anywhere else and we provide access to premium seating at all the shows we have tickets for. Our discounts are such that attending a few of our events during the year will more than pay for your membership.
